The students are hard at work preparing for the Multicultural Fair. All IB MYP students have been studying different countries in Africa, Asia, Central America and Antilles, Europe, Oceania, and South America.
The level one students are creating 3-dimensional cubes to share basic country information, such as capital city, population, size, major industries, religions, and traditions and holiday celebrations.
The level two students are creating tri-fold poster board focusing on the impact of industrialization on their country, as well as any other information learned throughout the researching process.
The level three students are creating a Prezi presentation to compare and contrast a typical day of a teenager from the country they are studying with a teenager here in the United States of America.
I look forward to seeing finished products at the Multicultural Fair on the evening of Thursday, April 26, from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M.
I am excited to be beginning my third year as the IB Coordinator at Kellogg School. In addition to coordinating, I am teaching Design to all Level 1, 2, and 3 students and an algebra course to selected 8th grade students.
